A place to hang out and talk
Kallisti is voice and text chat for your group: channels, voice, going live with your screen or camera, reactions and everything else you know, on a server that belongs to you. It is built on Mumble, so Mumble apps can join too.
Hop in when you're free
Voice channels are always open: click one and you are in. Push-to-talk or voice activity, strong noise suppression and a volume for each person. Go live with your screen or your camera, watch several streams at once, or stream straight from OBS.
Chat the way you are used to
Text channels with threads, replies, reactions, your server's own emoji and your personal ones, pictures, videos and files, pins, search and direct messages. Log in with your account or your fediverse account, set a status, or find any channel with Ctrl+K.
On every screen
In the browser, as an app for macOS, Windows and Linux, and on your phone: install it from the browser, with push notifications. Dark or light, as you like it.
Your own server, in three commands
git clone https://github.com/lambadalambda/kallisti && cd kallisti
printf 'DOMAIN=chat.example.org\nSUPERUSER_PASSWORD=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 16)" > deploy/.env
docker compose -f deploy/compose.yml up -d --remove-orphans
Open TCP 80 and 443, TCP and UDP 64738 for Mumble apps, and UDP 8189 for OBS.
Your server, your rules
One Docker setup with everything in it, including the voice server and HTTPS. Your messages stay on your machine. Moderators can mute, move, time out and ban, and anything that speaks Mumble can connect.
